World Mankousheh Day

World Mankousheh Day is observed annually on November 2.

The day was officially established in 2017 by Zaatar W Zeit, a popular Lebanese restaurant chain, to honor this iconic dish and promote its global appreciation.

It celebrates the beloved Lebanese flatbread known as manakish (or mankousheh), a staple of Middle Eastern cuisine.

The day also highlights its cultural significance in Lebanon and across the broader Levant region, where it is often enjoyed fresh from wood-fired ovens.
