World Parrot Day

World Parrot Day is celebrated annually on May 31st.

It is to raise awareness about parrots, their conservation, and the threats they face, such as habitat loss, illegal pet trade, and climate change. Established in 2004 by the World Parrot Trust, it highlights the need to protect these vibrant, intelligent birds, with over 350 species worldwide, many of which are endangered.
