World Restart a Heart Day is observed every year on October 16.

The day aims to raise awareness about sudden cardiac arrest.

Established in 2013 by the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) to promote awareness of cardiac arrest and encourage people worldwide to learn CPR.

Public training sessions and demonstrations are organized worldwide.

Immediate CPR can double or triple the chances of survival.
