World Softball Day

World Softball Day is celebrated annually on June 13th.

It is to promote the sport of softball and its values of sportsmanship, physical activity, and community. Established in 2005 by Don Porter, then president of the International Softball Federation, it marks the 1991 announcement that women’s softball would be included in the 1996 Summer Olympics.
