World Sports Journalists Day

World Sports Journalists Day is celebrated annually on July 2nd.

It is to honor the contributions of sports journalists worldwide. Established in 1994 by the International Sports Press Association (AIPS).

It is to mark its 70th anniversary, the day recognizes the vital role journalists play in promoting sports, reporting on events, and sharing stories of athletes’ achievements. AIPS, founded in 1924 during the Paris Olympics and now headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, aims to foster cooperation among sports journalists and ensure optimal working conditions.
