World Toilet Day

World Toilet Day is observed every year on November 19.

It is to raise global awareness about the urgent need for safe sanitation and the billions of people who still lack access to a basic toilet.

The day was launched in 2001 by the World Toilet Organization and officially adopted by the United Nations in 2013.
