National Wildlife Week - Second Day (India)

National Wildlife Week is observed annually from October 2 to 8 in India.

It aims to raise awareness about the protection and preservation of India’s flora and fauna.

The idea of Wildlife Week was conceptualized in 1952 with the long-term goal of protecting the country’s wildlife, particularly threatened and endangered species.

Wildlife Day was first observed in 1955 and was expanded into Wildlife Week in 1957.
