B. R. Ambedkar founded the Samaj Samata Sangh.

On 4 September 1927, B. R. Ambedkar founded the Samaj Samata Sangh (League for Equality) in Bombay to promote social equality and challenge caste discrimination.

The organisation brought together people from different castes and promoted inter-caste dining and social integration.
