Spirit Day *

Spirit Day is observed anually on third thursday of october. It is an international campaign established to highlight a problem that cannot be ignored, the bullying of gay and lesbian teenagers that leads to hundreds of suicides every year. Inaugurated in 2010, Spirit Day calls on people to support LGBT youth. Spirit Day was initiated by Canadian teenager Brittany McMillian who worked for GLAAD. And UN Free and Equal joined with it.
