International Day for Protection of Children

International Day for Protection of Children is observed annually on June 1st.

Established in 1950 by the Women's International Democratic Federation. The day is widely celebrated in many countries, particularly in former Soviet states and parts of Eastern Europe, where it remains a major occasion for promoting children's welfare and rights.
