International Day to End Obstetric Fistula

International Day to End Obstetric Fistula is observed annually on May 23rd.

Established by the United Nations in 2013, following the launch of the global Campaign to End Fistula by UNFPA in 2003, this day aims to raise awareness about obstetric fistula, a preventable childbirth injury caused by prolonged, obstructed labor without timely medical intervention.
