Alluri Sitarama Raju
Alluri Sitarama Raju an Indian freedom fighter, revolutionary.
He fought against the ‘1882 Madras Forest Act’. He got the titles ‘Folk Hero’, ‘Manyam Veerudu’ (Hero of the Jungle). With his guerrilla tactics he raided police stations, stole arms, and organized attacks. At the age of 27, he faced the great power of the British Empire with illiterate, poor and innocent followers and very limited resources.
