International Animation Day

International Animation Day is celebrated every year on October 28th.

It is to recognize and celebrate the art of animation and the artists behind it.

Established in 2002 by the International Animated Film Association (ASIFA) to commemorate the first public performance of animated films by Émile Reynaud in Paris on October 28, 1892.

The day honors the creativity, innovation, and cultural impact of animation in cinema, television, and digital media around the world.
