World Judo Day

World Judo Day is celebrated every year on October 28th.

It is to honor the values and philosophy of judo, focusing on discipline, respect, and friendship.

Established by the International Judo Federation (IJF) and marks the birthday of Jigoro Kano (1860–1938), the founder of judo.

The first official celebration took place in 2011.
