International Drag Day

International Drag Day is observed annually on 16 July.

The observance celebrates the art of drag while honoring drag artists and their contributions to performance, creativity, and LGBTQ+ culture.

Founded by Adam Stewart in 2009 through his Facebook fan page for drag queens, the day provides a global platform for drag performers to showcase their talent and promote visibility.

It celebrates drag queens, drag kings, and other drag performers who use costume, makeup, music, comedy, dance, and theatrical performance to express creativity, entertain audiences, and challenge gender norms.
