Sharda Sinha – an Indian folk and classical songstress.

Widely known as the “Bihar Kokila” (Nightingale of Bihar), renowned especially for Maithili, Bhojpuri and Chhath folk songs.

Posthumous recipient of the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian award.

Recipient of the Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri and Sangeet Natak Akademi Award.
