Ukrainian Statehood Day

Ukrainian Statehood Day is observed annually on 15 July in Ukraine.

The observance celebrates the continuity of Ukrainian statehood, honoring the nation's more than one-thousand-year history and heritage dating back to Kyivan Rus'.

It also commemorates the Christianization of Kyivan Rus' under Prince Volodymyr the Great in 988.

Established in 2021, the holiday was first observed in 2022 and has been celebrated on 15 July since 2024 following Ukraine's calendar reform.
