Women’s Entrepreneurship Day

Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WED) is celebrated on November 19 each year.

The day recognizes women’s contributions to business and innovation, raises awareness of challenges they face, and promotes mentorship, funding, and global networking opportunities for women-led ventures.

Founded by Wendy Diamond in 2013, inspired by her work in Honduras, to empower women entrepreneurs worldwide.

First celebrated on November 19, 2014, at the United Nations in New York City.
