National Edge Day - USA

National Edge Day, also known as International Edge Day, is observed annually on October 17 in the United States and internationally.

Established in Boston in 1999, the unofficial observance celebrates the straight edge subculture, which promotes abstinence from alcohol, tobacco, and recreational drugs.

The day is marked by hardcore punk music events and community gatherings.
