Global FPIES Day

Global FPIES Day is observed every year on October 14.

Established in 2014 by The FPIES Foundation.

It aims to raise awareness about Food Protein-Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES), a rare but serious type of food allergy that affects the gastrointestinal system.

The day seeks to educate families, healthcare professionals, and the public about the symptoms, diagnosis, and management of FPIES.

It encourages support for affected children and adults, as FPIES can cause severe reactions such as vomiting, dehydration, and lethargy after ingesting trigger foods.
