People’s Governance Day - Telangana

People’s Governance Day, officially known as Praja Palana Dinotsavam, is a Telangana observance held on 17 September.

It commemorates the historic integration of Hyderabad State into the Indian Union on 17 September 1948 and the beginning of democratic governance in the region.

The Telangana government began officially observing the day as Praja Palana Dinotsavam in 2024, replacing its earlier designation of Telangana Jathiya Samaikyatha Dinotsavam used in 2022 and 2023.
