World Green Roof Day

World Green Roof Day is celebrated annually on June 6th.

It is to raise awareness about the environmental, social, and economic benefits of green roofs.

Initiated in 2020 by Chris Bridgman and Dusty Gedge, veterans of sustainable living roof initiatives and board members of the UK’s Green Roof Organisation (GRO), the day highlights the role of green roofs in combating climate change, enhancing biodiversity, and improving urban environments.
