Indian National Congress observed Save Democracy Day in India.

On May 18th 2018, Save Democracy Day (Prjaatantra Bachao Diwas) observed by the Indian National Congress (INC) and its affiliates across the country.

In 2018, the Indian National Congress announced it observe May 18 as Save Democracy Day to protest what it called the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) attempts to undermine democratic institutions.

This protest was in response to the Karnataka Governor’s actions following the state’s 2018 assembly election, which the Congress and Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) parties alleged were partisan.
