On 25 April 2026, the Telangana Rashtra Sena (TRS), a regional political party, was founded in the Indian state of Telangana by Kalvakuntla Kavitha.

The internal fallout from the 2023 Assembly election defeat was the primary catalyst for the growing rift between Kalvakuntla Kavitha and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leadership.

Following these disputes, she was expelled from the party in 2025.

The party aimed to achieve “Social Telangana” by prioritising the needs and identity of diverse social groups.
