Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy resigned as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

On 30 May 2019, Y. S. Jagan was sworn in as the 17th Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

On 11 June 2024, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy resigned as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh after the YSR Congress Party's defeat in the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections.

He implemented the welfare-focused Navaratnalu schemes through Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT).

He launched programs for students, farmers, women, healthcare, and housing, while introducing the Grama/Ward Sachivalayam system and the Nadu-Nedu infrastructure initiative.

His government also reorganized Andhra Pradesh into 26 districts, promoted English-medium education in government schools, and proposed a three-capitals model for the state.
