On 2nd February 2024, An Indian regional political party ‘Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam’ (TVK) was founded in the union territory of Puducherry and the state of Tamil Nadu.

The party was founded by Joseph Vijay Chandrashekhar, popularly known as Vijay, a leading Tamil actor.

The objective of the party is to address regional issues and promote the welfare of Tamil Nadu’s people.

The party is headquartered in Panaiyur, Chennai.
