Government of India adopted the State Emblem of India.

The State Emblem of India is the official name of India’s national emblem, and it is indeed commonly known as the National Emblem of India.

This is representative seal of the Republic of India that is adapted from the Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar (based in Sarnath, Uttar Pradesh).

India adopted the State Emblem of India on 26th January 1950.

The motto of the Indian National Emblem is ‘Satyamev Jayate’ or ‘Truth Alone Triumphs.’

National Emblem is the symbol of authority and is present in all the official communications of the government.
