The Constitution recognized Hindi as the official language of the Union under Article 343.

On 14th September 1949, Hindi was adopted as the Official Language of India.

On 26th January 1950, the Constitution of India legalised Hindi in the Devanagari script as the official language of union of India under Article 343.

But hindi is one of the official language of india not national language of india.
